DoorMeter

Privacy policy

Effective October 1, 2026

DoorMeter is a Chrome extension that analyzes real-estate listings on the page you're viewing. It is built so that your information stays on your computer. This policy is provided by Angel Alferez Aroca ("we").

What stays in your browser

Saved deals, notes, investor profiles, settings and your monthly usage count are kept in Chrome's extension storage on your device. Your settings, profiles, your license key and your monthly usage count are also synced by Chrome to your other browsers signed in to the same Google account, if you use Chrome sync. We have no server that receives any of it.

To estimate rent, taxes and insurance, DoorMeter uses data files that ship inside the extension. Looking up a ZIP code happens on your computer.

What leaves your browser, and when

What we never do

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking across sites, and no selling or sharing of data. DoorMeter only reads Zillow and Redfin pages you open, and only to show you its analysis.

Your choices

You can delete saved deals from the dashboard, remove your license from the toolbar popup, or uninstall the extension, which deletes everything it stored on your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and describe the change on this page.
